Has anyone used screw piles on uneven or sensitive terrain?

Good afternoon! Has anyone used screw piles on uneven or sensitive terrain? I’m planning to build a small shed, but I don’t want to disturb the soil too much.

Hi there! Yes, screw piles work great for that type of project. According to Foundation Works https://foundationworkspiles.blogspot.c ... piles.html , manual screw piles are especially effective on uneven ground or in areas where excavation isn’t allowed. The lightweight handheld equipment makes it easy to install them without heavy machinery, and because they’re screwed rather than dug in, the soil stays largely undisturbed. This means you can keep the natural drainage and plant roots intact. The blog also notes that even though the tools are light, they provide strong torque, so each pile remains tightly anchored. It’s a solid, eco-friendly option for smaller projects where traditional foundations might cause too much disruption. I’d recommend checking out Foundation Works for more details — they’ve got great insight on how these systems perform in different terrains.
